I am experimenting with my new Pocketwizards the TT1 & Flex TT5, which allow full E-TTl on remote flashes. I am finding some limitations with shutter speed/aperture being automatic and every bone screams; “Put it into Manual Gary!”. Still doing not a bad job though. This is a single  580EXII fired through softbox camera right. ISO320, Shutter Priority, 1/1000th at f/4.0.

Whilst travelling from a foggy Glasgow Perthshire was clear of fog but had revealed hoar frosted tress and high level cloud which allowed me suitable time to divert, set up and snap a few shots of one of the most unusual scenes I have yet recorded in Scotland.

You cannot drive past the wonderful Buachaille Etive Mor without stopping and having a go. This shot was taken on a drive to Glasgow via Fort William. Taken with a ND8 filter to increase exposure time.

My halloween visitors were surprised they had to do more to get therir treats. Pose for a waiting photographer! Mhwar!

Found myself in Glasgow again this week. This was the view from my hotel.

Greg and I were back in Innerleithen at the weekend. This place seems to be our second home as training takes place here as do all the winter races.  I spent Saturday taking pictures of the riders in lovely sunshine but racing on Sunday was in dull and horrid conditions. This is Greg on a practice run on Saturday.

Moto-X is a funny game. Nonetheless I enjoyed going, with my family, to watch the racers at Round 1 of the Highland Moto-X race series. It was a very muddy course which apparently slowed them down. The mud was like porridge and must have been power-sapping!
